Dromont stands for high-quality dosing systems, especially in the field of coil coating products. One of the main criteria for selecting Dromont was their ability to supply the complete turnkey system. This turned out to be a great advantage, especially since we were installing during the Covid pandemic.
The project resulted from a process optimization study within the scope our coil coating production.
The Selecta process improved our throughput, color matching and overall process quality.
Due to its very high dosing accuracy, the Selecta offers the possibility of dosing products directly into the final packaging (In-Can), hence saving the separate container filling process and cleaning of batch tanks.
The quantification phase of the project is not yet complete but we are sure that we can produce significantly faster and more cost-efficiently through direct dosing.
The dosing accuracy is impressive. The Universal Weighing Platform (scale in scale) selects the best scale for dispense accuracy vased on the size of the batch to be produced; 60 Kg, 300 Kg, or 3000 Kg. We also like the overall Dromont project management process. Due to the prefabrication of the plant in Italy, the time for assemply at our site was significantly reduced, thus putting the plant into operation in a very short time.
In today’s complex environment, a company must profitably manufacture large and small batches of repeatable, custom colors, all with very short lead times. Our combined Selecta/Micro technology is the perfect answer for the automated preparation of custom color batches. Selecta represents Dromont’s highest level of technology, and it has been installed in over 500 large factories world-wide where continuous working cycle, reliability and accuracy are key factors. Its special patented design allows for central dispensing of all components, guaranteeing the unique flexibility for dosing into small cans, pails, drums or even large mobile vessels. Available in three models with capacity for up to 48, 64 and even 100 valves, Selecta is the preferred, high-end manufacturing system for producing coatings in both safe and hazardous operational areas. Selecta dispenser can be integrated into a complete, automated handling solution for all operations including automated conveyor lines integrated with stations for denesting of empty cans, labeling, dispensing, lidding, mixing and palletizing.
